ON THE MOVE
After almost twelve months of silence, time for some comment - Grandma is on the move! For the uninitiated 'Grandma' is a statue of one of the late cartoonist's Giles characters. Visiting nearby Ipswich I discovered that the statue has been moved during an expensive re-furbishment of the street where the statue used to reside, struggling amongst the parked motorcyles. She is now resplenent atop a tall plinth in a prime position looking up at the offices where her creator penned his many wonderful cartoons.
